The Results Are In: Here Are Your Picks For Snake’s Baddest Adversary

Last week’s poll had you choosing your top 5 Metal Gear Solid villains.  There were a lot to choose from, but truthfully the results weren’t terribly surprising.

The Big Winners.

Psycho Mantis took the top spot, not surprisingly.  My guess would be that Chris voted from every computer he could find.  Truth be told though, Psycho Mantis is a pretty awesome villain so I’m not all that surprised.  In second was Gray Fox.  That one did actually surprise me a bit.  I mean, I expected him to be at least middle of the pack but I wouldn’t have guessed second place.

The Best of the Rest.

Liquid Snake and Revolver Ocelot tied for third, which is a good showing for both of them, but I expected one of those two to end up in second place.  Big Boss came in a solid fourth.  From there we get a lot o ties.  The BossSolidus Snake, and Liquid Ocelot tied for fifth.  To be honest, I wasn’t sure whether or not to include Liquid Ocelot seeing that he’s really just an amalgamation of the Liquid Snake and Revolver Ocelot but in the end I felt he was his own character.

Vamp, Naomi Hunter, The Patriots, The Fury, Sniper Wolf, and Volgin all tied as well.  Finally, The End, Laughing Octopus, Vulcan Raven, Fatman and Arsenal Gear filled out the final spots.  Several choices came up voteless, including most of the actual Metal Gears, ironically enough.  There were also  two write ins; Lady Luck and The Sorrow.
