With 2K officially pulling the plug on its multiplatform MLB series earlier this year, Xbox-owning baseball fans are out of luck this season as Sony’s MLB 14: The Show is the only game in town and this week it finally makes its way to the PS4.
Coming to Vita this week is the God of War Collection; though not to be confused with the recent PS3 compilation of the ENTIRE GoW series up to this point, this Vita collection only features the HD remakes of God of War and God of War 2. Not that getting two of the best action games of the last decade in portable form is anything to scoff at, but leaving out the two PSP games seems cheaper than a threesome minigame (though not half as fun).
The acclaimed PC and PS4 horror title Outlast will be getting its first DLC this week, titled “Whistleblower”. The content of the DLC will somewhat bookend the main game, as it will show events that took place both before and after Outlast proper.
The PlayStation goodness continues this week with Sportsfriends for PS3/PS4, a compilation of four popular indie multiplayer games headlined by Johann Sebastian Joust, a game that is played entirely with Move controllers and no visual interaction with a TV screen.
After a 16 year absence, classic adventure game hero Tex Murphy returns to stake his claim in the current adventure game renaissance with Tesla Effect: A Tex Murphy Adventure for PC and Mac, bringing back series creators Chris Jones and Aaron Conners. The package will also include Tex’s previous three games: Overseer, The Pandora Directive, and Under a Killing Moon.
Also releasing this week are action-RPG Bound by Flame (X360, PS3, PS4, PC); the PC version of Killer is Dead, the latest from the twisted mind of Suda51; and The DenpaMen 3: The Rise of Digitoll, an RPG for the 3DS eShop.
