Video of the Week: The American Debut of the NES

The Nintendo Entertainment System as we know it today was actually debuted right here in Chicago at the Consumer Electronics Show in June of 1985. No matter where E3 or PAX are held or how many major announcements and reveals have taken place in Los Angeles, Boston, and Seattle, the NES was revealed in Chicago and few events in video game history were more significant than that.

Unfortunately, there doesn’t seem to be any video footage of the event (or any photographs for that matter). Luckily, the folks over at Funny or Die have put together this video of what that press conference might have looked like. Enjoy.
